XMC has a great new feature that is perfect for home delivery customers whereby route drivers need to make deliveries, but the customer may not be there for a signature.
Home delivery, which others may refer to as Drop and Go, or B2C delivery is accomplished using the new Quick Delivery feature in XMC. Quick Delivery provides very rapid processing – as the assumption is the driver does not need to modify the order quantity, take payments, or do anything else besides leave the product, and perhaps take a Photo for Proof of Delivery.
Quick Delivery is enabled in the XMC Management Console. After Quick Delivery is enabled, Delivery Orders are dispatched to Route Drivers in the normal XMC fashion, resulting in your pre-defined stop orders.
The Route Driver then accesses the order from the XMC Mobile App. After selecting Quick Delivery, the driver can then choose to take a Photo or create a Transaction Note. Otherwise, the driver will Confirm the Quick Delivery, and automatically, the next order for delivery pops on their screen. It’s pretty slick.
